JPKE's Main ROLES and FUNCTIONS

1. National Economic Development Policies

Compiles, Reviews and Formulates National Economic Development Policies and Monitors and Facilitates their Implementation.

2. National Economic Planning

Prepares Economic Development Blueprints : Long Term - Outline Perspective Plan, Medium Term - National Development Plan & Short Term - Action Plan on Recovery Package and Other Economic Stimulus.

3. Monitoring National Development Plans

Monitors and Facilitates the Implementation of all National Development Projects.

4. National Statistics

Serves as the Authority on National Socio-Economic Statistics. Collects, Compiles, Interprets, Analyses and Disseminates Socio-Economic Statistics for Planning and Other Purposes.

5. National Human Resource Development

Serves as the Central Coordinating Agency for the National Human Resource Development.

6. Enforcement of relevant legislations
